Writing this week

Hi I'm Ingrid and I'm From Wesley Intermediate School and Today I Wrote a Two Narratives in one kind of story I wrote about a little girl with her mother and they find a friend and they live with them till their husbands get back from war. I think I did well I might need to add a few more things but in like 15-20 minutes I wrote 5 longish paragraphs we only needed to write three but I did more. Here is a sneak peak at my writing. (I might add a few more paragraphs over the weekend)

Reading Reflection #4

Hi I am Ingrid From Wesley Intermediate School and this week for my reading reflection we have been to a lot of strategy Practice Here is something that we do on the strategy website. We had to take short paragraphs and make connections with ideas on the bottom of the page and we could move on then we did this. We did this a lot this week so I think now we are pretty good at this.

Reading Reflection #3

Hi My Name Is Ingrid and I am from Wesley Intermediate School &

This week we worked on inferring in reading We had to look at the facts and write them down then we looked at what they said then their action we also had to write down then we had to get into their heads that part was tricky but I think I am doing well.

Friday

Who likes the weekend because I do. The things I love doing on the weekend is knitting, different kinds of crafts, playing outside, gymnastics, watching movies when it is raining and baking.


For Christmas I am knitting a scarf for my sister and I will be making some other things that don't cost anything because I just find things lying around the house and make stuff with them.

When I bake I either make cookies or cakes and I share them with friends and family. When I bake I always look for creative things to do like sometimes when it is raining I make the icing look like rain.

Reading Reflection #2

Hi I'm Ingrid and I am from Wesley Intermediate school and

This week for my reading reflection something that I need to work on next week is - Summarising again. The reason is because I want to get really good at it and can summarise easily when someone asks me to. This week we did a lot of summarising tasks. We had to pick a story and summarise about it the stories I picked were The most expensive handbag & One about My mother which I have linked. Mr walker chose our other story These foods will help you lose weight fast. I think I am getting better just a bit more practice.

Reading Reflection #1

Hi I'm Ingrid and I am from Wesley Intermediate school and

On Monday And Tuesday I did my reading tasks.

We have to do strategies practice on Monday which is one of our tasks and on Tuesday we do a different type of task like more strategies or something else on the website our teacher made.

On Wednesday We did Buddy reading.

I did buddy reading with my friend Anna who is in my class we 'The Boy in the dress' By David Walliams. We had to record ourselves reading a chapter and we read a page each.

On Thursday we had group reading we got into our group and read stories off kiwi kids news. Our task set by the teacher was to pick a story and do a summary about it We linked the story to the doc and we said who the author was then we summarised the story in our own words because the stories we chose were probably already be summarised.
Next week I will practice my summarising because I think I need some more practice.

Cross country and Market day.

I am Ingrid and I am from Wesley intermediate school and This week We are having Cross country tomorrow (Tuesday) and Market day on (Thursday) I have been practising for tomorrow even though I am sick on Market day I am working with a friend called Joy we will be doing slime and a lot of other fun stuff I can't wait to see how well we do on market day. I hope to see you there.

Basic Angles

My Name Is Ingrid I am from Wesley Intermediate School and Today (22.08.17) We (Room 9) learnt about basic angles I will label a few. Our task was to go on Khan academy and look at different angles. Then we had to get a google drawing and draw out some angles and label them then we got a worksheet and had to label the different angles.

Steelband

My name is Ingrid I am from Wesley Intermediate School and Today (18.08.17) we had the steel band from Bream bay college come and play some amazing songs I was so stoked when I walked into the hall. They played some songs and told us that this weekend they were going to Aussie for a competition and I wish them good luck and I hope they rep NZ well. They played at least 5 songs I think and I think you should look them up and wish them luck too.

Ski trip

My name is Ingrid I am from Wesley Intermediate School and From the fifteenth of August to the seventeenth of august I was at Mt Ruapehu  skiing with my school we skied on the first day but on the second day it was way to foggy I could hold out my hand and wouldn't be able to see my fingers. So instead we went to some hot pools and we went to the Waitomo glow worm caves it was so extraordinary I was amazed out of my mind. I picked it up really quickly and I was amazed at my own skill and I could ride down the steep slope without any help and I was very sad when we couldn't ski the second day. We stayed at the luxurious place called Mountain Heights Lodge and we got a three course dinner - Pumpkin soup , coleslaw and pies , chocolate sponge cake with chocolate icing. I had a great time with my friends and having my first time touching / doing anything with snow I was so proud of myself.

 My name is Ingrid I am from Wesley Intermediate School and It is the end of school and the winter holidays in a couple of days - Wednesday , Thursday and Friday are left on the winter holiday countdown. Enjoy you holidays and as a little shout out to Americans like me happy 4th of July!!!!!!!

Tuesday trip to the ports of Auckland and Maritime museum.

My name is Ingrid I am from Wesley Intermediate School and Yesterday we had so much fun hanging out at the Maritime museum the going on a ferry under the harbour bridge and going around the port. At the maritime museum we got split into groups and we could go around in those groups and do all the activities and wander around my favourite part was the team-building thing were you work as a group to make the boat sail.

Books 📚

My name is Ingrid I am from Wesley Intermediate School and Books 📚 are the things that are good to have about. Go to the library after school tomorrow pick up your favourite books and read all holidays while curling up in blankets with a nice warm drink. Loving a book is like loving a friend. Books can take you to new places new galaxy's find out about other countries that you haven't been to before.

A few weeks till winter holidays!!

My name is Ingrid I am from Wesley Intermediate School and There are at least 4 more weeks till the winter break . I am so excited to be able to cuddle up in bed and read a book with a cup of hot chocolate. Watch out it is going to get really cold soon. Get your favourite book and snuggle up with your family or friends / toys. Room 9 learning log

My name is Ingrid I am from Wesley Intermediate School and Room 9 has a learning log to keep track of their work and so that the teacher can see that we are actually doing our work so I took a screenshot of my part of the learning log so you could see what I mean. This might be hard to see but it is mostly green which means it is done. If it was red it means it was not done or not linked properly. If it was white it means it hasn't be checked to see if it is green worthy. If you can see the smile on one white square that is because there was nothing  no links to go there so I just put a smile there !! :)

Reading log

My name is Ingrid I am from Wesley Intermediate School and In room 9 we keep a reading log of how much we read. At school we get gold cards for being respectful. Our teacher gives us 1 gold card per 1 entry. So say if you entered 15 entries on your reading log a week you would get fifteen gold cards. This is what one of my entries looks like.
